NATIONAL DANCE CHAMPIONSHIP
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1.The participants and people affiliated to the team or the participants has to behave in a sportsmanship/gentleman/proper manner.
2.All the participants and team incharges should review the emergency action plan incase of emergency or injury.
3.No techinical skill / stunts should be performed when a coach/supervisor/member of executive commitee is not present.
4.All the practises and sessions/ rehasal should be held in sutable and appropiate places away from distriction and noise.
5.Warm- up and streching should precide and conclude all practise sessions and rehasals.
6.The stage/performance surface should be taken into consideration before trying any technical /skill and stunt:-

7.The dance team / participant coach or other knoledgeable , designated representive should be in attendence at all practices.
8.Running over time limit will result in automatic point decuction.
9.There is absolutely no video recording permitted . if any of the parents , friends , and associates are found recording . we hold the right to inspect the device and failure to do so may result in disqualification for the participants.
10.If the dance movements , clothes or music seems to sugestive or inappropiate for our family audience it may be scored less by the judges.
11.Contestants and parents give their implied consent to use their images , photographs or appear on videos , on television / media outpost or any other commercial use for our event.
12.Any performer competing in a dance competion takes certain inherent risks . these include, but not limited , to sprains , bruises , pulled muscles, and broken bones , participantions in this competition indicates the acceptance of such risks by performers . therefore attendees , clients , participants and spectators will not hold NDC , its management or any of its members , directors , officials , staff or employee or hosting facility responsible for injuries , illness , damages or property loss sustained while participating in any activity related to NDC.
1.Props are not allowed . a prop is defined as anything you dance with that is not attached to your costume . articles of clothing may be taken off , however you may not dance with them . if taken off and danced with , it becomes a prop.
2.Props may be allowed with the prior permission of NDC.
3.Props must be setup and removed from thestage in a reasonable time frame.
4.Props must be labeled with the participants name for identification purpose backstage.
5.Props used must be placed on the stage in a timely manner.
6.If prop preparation takes longer than 5 min NDC member / judges may deduct points from your routine.
7.NDC may make exceptions if we are informed well in advance of the event so that NDC can plan accordingly the schedule.
8.Props must have protection so that they dont damage the floor.
9.If the floor is damaged the participant may lose point and or may be disqualified.
1.Contestants will be required to provide their own music on a individual CD or ipod .
2.There must be only one routine on the CD / flash drive / ipod at at a given time.
3.Each song on the flash drive / pendrive must contain the act number first , the song title , and the participants names as the astist.
4.It is recomended to carry a backup in case of any problem or emergency.
5.The CD/pendrive must be turned to the concern incharge at least half an hour before the competition begins.
6.All music must be recorded at the proper speed , speed control will not be adjusted at the competion .
7.The participants should collect the CD/ pendrive / ipod after the performance . the NDC will not be responsible for the loss of such devices.
1.Contestants will be judged by a panel of knoledgeable judges , and all the participants along with the spectators agree that time , manner , method of judging the competition shall be solely with the managing commitee/ executive member / board of directors and judges.The decision made by them will be final .
2.Paticipants will be judged on techinque , showmanship , routine/ cheography , rythm , sound and costume.
3.The judges may or may not decide on this criteria or additional criteria may be added by NDC / judges .
4.The judges may or may not give verbal critiques.
5.The judges will judge and give marks as per his/her own accordance the decision will be an independent dicision.
DISQUALIFICATIONS – ANY PARTICIPANT OR TEAM WHICH DOSENT FOLLOW OR BREAKS ANY OF THE RULRS AND REGULATIOS WILL OR MAY BE DISQUALIFIED.
